This fall, the Georgetown University Law Center’s Hotel & Lodging Legal Summit hosted a webinar titled, “Confronting the New SEC Climate Disclosure Rule.” The webinar explored issues related to the SEC’s proposed rule on “The Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors.” It began with remarks by SEC Commissioner Mark T. Uyeda, and continued with discussion among a panel of environmental, securities and ESG attorneys. Here is an outline of the panel’s discussion. For access to a recording of the discussion, please contact Kyle Kunkler, of Georgetown Law, at kk1347@georgetown.edu.
I am privileged to co-chair the Hotel & Lodging Legal Summit and learned a lot from helping to organize the webinar this fall. Our next full CLE Conference will take place in Washington, D.C. in October 2023. More information to follow.
